in pursuit of happiness

two kinds of people that i face each day:
those who want to be there, yet you push them away
and the ones who dont want to be there, yet you run to them

but sometimes, if you're lucky enough, there's that kind of person that you lean towards
and they do the unexpected
they actually lean towards you, too

i just want to stress how crucial it is to pay attention to the people around you
because some want to be where they are - others dont
some want to care and others could care less
i am surrounded by people who constantly remind me that they're here for me and that they care
and these people dont even have to tell me

but you know i'm stubborn, so i'm going to run to the ones that might not want to be there anyways.
sometimes you've got to run
just to make sure that they know you're here for them
